Here is the summary of the expertise obtained for this beautiful wardrobe that dates back... Before the french revolution: A cabinet façade in walnut and walnut bramble molded and carved. Arched anterior base finished in windings. Lower cross member centered with a stylized fan reserve flanked by windings. Facade with protruding frame opening to two leaves each with three reserves, the lower and upper one arched, the central one with rose window inscribed in an oval medallion. Crosses more than three reserves, the central one in rosette. Protruding cornice. Louis XV provincial style, central france. Period eighteenth century. With installation. Negotiable price. Height 247 cm / width: 167 cm (or 189cm at the top with the cornices). Central rosettes: 25cm X 19cm. Cabinet doors: 195 cm X 69 cm (thickness: 4 cm) each. Width of the wooden part between the doors (inside): 13.5cm. Height of the lower part under the doors: 36.5 cm. Height between the floor and the lowest point of the cabinet in the center: 11cm. Estimated weight. We can notice on the sides the fleurs-de-lis that have been partly erased, a sign of this post-revolutionary era: after the decree of the convention of 1st brumaire year II (october 22, 1793) which prohibits the signs of royalty and feudalism", the cartier craftsmen must erase on their matrices all the old symbols of the old regime: scepters, cruciferous globes, crowns, fleurs-de-lis and hastily replace them with others more in line with revolutionary ideals: phrygian caps, feathered hats, and agricultural symbols: apples, acorns or laurels. The cabinet doors work perfectly, as does the large lock. They close easily on the façade and can adapt to another dimension of closets in your home. The amber color of the wood is particularly warm and deep for this unique wardrobe façade.
