Wall sconces in pine veneer by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ab Ellysett, Sweden, 1960s.

Set of wall lamps in pine by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Elyssett, Markaryd, Sweden, 1960s. This set of wall lamps, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Elyssett in Markaryd, Sweden, is a beautiful example of his iconic work with pine veneer. Made with a wooden wall mount and standard E27 lamp sockets, the semi-translucent veneer diffuses a warm and comfortable light that perfectly highlights Jakobsson's exploration of light and materials. The lamps are constructed from strips of pine veneer, shaped into a ring form on a pine wood frame. This sculptural design offers both functional lighting and a distinctive artistic presence. In very good condition, the lamps are fully labelled, with no damage to the veneer - a rare find given the fragile nature of the material. They show only very minor signs of wear, appropriate for their age, and have been extremely well preserved. An authentic and highly collectible set from the 1960s, these lamps add a natural and warm elegance to mid-century, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors. Price for both lamps.
