Rectangular section earthenware vase from the baca series, one of the last series designed by nils thorsson (1898-1975) for aluminia and royal copenhagen. The word baca means "ring, " which explains why the signature of each artist who has created a set appears in a circle on the back of each piece in the series. The stylized floral decoration of this vase, dated between 1969 and 1974, is due to the ceramicist ellen malmer (1942-).
