Vintage Mid-Century Desk by Pastoe – Dutch Functionalism from the 1950s

Not every vintage desk needs to be oversized to make an impression. This compact Pastoe desk proves that thoughtful design and well-balanced proportions can be just as striking. Produced in the Netherlands during the 1950s, the desk embodies clean geometric lines and practical functionality. Strong influences of functionalism are clearly visible here, where every element serves a purpose without unnecessary ornamentation. Three generously sized drawers with warm ivory fronts provide plenty of storage while maintaining the desk’s light and elegant appearance. At 75 cm high, it offers an ergonomic working height that remains perfectly suited to everyday use, whether as a home desk or a writing table.
