Boch La Louvière Soup Tureen - Baltic

Ceramic nugget from the Boch La Louvière factory in Belgium. This piece is adorned with the beautiful hand-painted decor from the "Baltic" collection 😍 The name "Baltic" directly refers to the Baltic Sea, reflecting the immense influence of Scandinavian design on tableware at that time. This trend favours simplicity of forms and a connection with nature. This deep cobalt blue and grey vintage pattern was produced in 1971 for Boch, in Belgium. The decor is unalterable and hand-painted, as noted on the bottom of the soup tureen. Although it is a mass-produced item, each floral motif or circular band is applied manually by decorative painters, making each plate or bowl subtly unique. This handled soup tureen is in very good condition, apart from a small chip visible in the last photo on the rim of the tureen. Width (with handle): 23 cm. Height: 13 cm. Retro patterns, generous shapes, and intense colours.
