Sublime and massive sculptural bowl in Bohemian crystal, created by the renowned designer Josef Hospodka for the Sklárna Chřibská factory (Czechoslovakia, 1960s). The presence of the original silver label attests to its authenticity. A true masterpiece of Mid-Century design, this organic corolla-shaped piece (known as "splish splash") illustrates absolute artisanal virtuosity. Made through free hot shaping, it employs the complex sommerso technique: a core of deep cobalt blue glass is captured within a thick and brilliant mass of colourless crystal. The technical mastery of the glassmaker culminates in the execution of the hot-applied filigree (in the style of orlo in Venetian lattimo). This fine opaline white glass rim, stretched with tweezers without any break along the edge, highlights the asymmetrical curves with surgical precision, offering a spectacular graphic contrast. The base with a flat ground pontil confirms the high quality of the craftsmanship. Dimensions: H 20 cm|L (neck) 24 cm|Ø base 10 cm. Massive weight: 2.43 kg. Condition: Perfect state of preservation, sumptuous brilliance (tiny signs of use under the base). The packaging will be extremely careful, using professional shockproof materials and reinforced cushioning to ensure safe shipping.
