1970 wicker and plexiglass wastebasket

Exceptional plexiglass and caning wastebasket, a substantial and heavy object, with a woven rattan sheet encased between two thick sheets of clear lucite, bordered with patinated brass. Note a small internal crack in the plexiglass at one corner under the edge - invisible depending on the light. The sale price takes this into account. Attributed to Gabriella Crespi for Dior Homme, 1970. Original label made in France and green felt pad. Umbrella stand format: height 48.5cm x 19.5cm x 19.5cm.
