Antique black painted tiered stand

This is a nice antique piece which dates to the 1800's. Made of oak this three tiered dumb waiter could serve a variety of uses, a drinks stand in a dining room, perhaps as a shop display for jewellery and small items or maybe in a bathroom for towels etc. The stand is made of solid oak and is decorated with floral and foliate carving to each tier. It is set on an ancanthus cabriole tripod base finished with ball and claw feet. I have hand painted this piece in my own mix of black chalk based paint before waxing the finish for protection. The paintwork is solid colour and has been left undistressed for a contemporary look. Condition. The stand is in solid structural condition. The top tier has a repaired crack to the wood and the tiers have bowed slightly over the years. There is a shrinkage gap to the wood on the edge of one tier. Measurements. Height- 112cms. Width- 52cms. Depth- 52cms. Top tier diameter 37.5cms. Middle and bottom tier diameter 52cms.
