Jinji Okazaki (Okazaki Jinji: 1929–2004) System: Naruko System Master: Naikichi Okazaki Disciple: Yasuo Okazaki / Okazakijima / Shinkichi Matsutani / Sakaeichi Sato / Tadashi Nakabachi [No one] On March 15, 1929, he was born the eldest son of Naikichi Okazaki, Kijigyo, Naruko-cho, Tamatsukuri-gun, Miyagi Prefecture. After graduating from Furukawa High School under the old system in March 1946, he heard about his father Saikichi in May of the same year. In 1950, we opened Okazaki Shoten in Naruko-cho Shinyashiki, and started making kokeshi on October 28. In November 1952, she married Go Chiba, Kogota's eldest daughter, and in 1954, her eldest son Yasuo was born. His wife, Onnajima, also began painting under Niji's guidance in 1964. After graduating from Furukawa High School, his eldest son Yasuo began training in wood for Niji in 1972. Other disciples included Shinkichi Matsutani, Sakaeichi Sato and Tadashi Nakabachi. He has worked hard for the kokeshi world of Naruko, for example working in an important position within the Naruko Wooden Toy Cooperative Association. He died on March 5, 2004 and was 76 years old.
