Fold is a real technical feat... This lamp is made with a single metal plate cut and folded multiple times, without any welding! The base and the base are totally flat! Fold is a powder-coated steel table lamp, with a three-dimensional structure obtained through a special sheet metal pleating technique. Fold's silhouette mimics the shape of a classic table lamp. Designer alexander taylor reinterprets the model engraved in the collective memory and transforms this archetype into a new and very contemporary piece. The graphic lines are highlighted by the black fabric cord that descends along the foot. The fold lamp was voted best luminaire of the year by elle decoration in 2005 and is part of the permanent collection of the moma (the museum of modern art, known by the acronym moma, is a museum of modern and contemporary art in new york inaugurated in 1929) Burgundy color, rather rare.
