The Danish sculptor and ceramist studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen in the 1930s. In 1949, he founded with his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt; Palshus Stentøj in Sengeløse, just outside Copenhagen. The name Palshus was a combination of their initials with the addition of the Danish word for house, Hus. Until 1972, they made tableware, vases and lamps in typical Scandinavian earth tones. This lamp has a foot with the very beautiful matte brown glaze and translucent edges. A feature of per Linnemann Schmidt's glaze work. The cap is braided with white jute and attaches to the bulb. The table lamp has a height of 30 cm, and the lampshade has a diameter of 19 cm. Condition: The lamp is marked and in very good vintage condition.
