Creator: Per Linnemann Schmidt Manufacturer: Palshus Country: Denmark Year: About 1950 Description : Beautiful ceramic table lamp designed by Per Linnemann Schmidt for Palshus. The Danish sculptor and ceramist studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen in the 1930s. In 1949, he founded with his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt; Palshus Stentøj in Sengeløse, just outside Copenhagen. The name Palshus was a combination of their initials with the addition of the Danish word for house, Hus. Until 1972, they made tableware, vases and lamps in typical Scandinavian earth tones. This lamp has a foot with the very beautiful matte brown glaze and translucent edges. A feature of per Linnemann Schmidt's glaze work. The cap is braided with white jute and attaches to the bulb. The table lamp has a height of 30 cm, and the lampshade has a diameter of 19 cm. Condition: The lamp is marked and in very good vintage condition.
