A unique, handmade piece by Alice Colonieu. This rare pitcher, with its large handle and spout, is crafted from chamotte stoneware and glazed in green and white. A circular stamp of the artist's mark is imprinted on the base. Alice Colonieu (1924-2010) was a French ceramicist and sculptor, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille and the École de Céramique in Montpellier. She is known for her ceramic works with organic forms and vibrant colors, primarily created using the coil technique. She exhibited at the Salon des Arts Décoratifs and won several awards, including a gold medal in 1961. Collaborating with decorators such as Jean Royère, her works are held in prestigious museums like the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris.
