Vintage Rörstrand Picknick Serving Tray by Marianne Westman – Sweden, 1950s

A beautiful vintage rectangular ceramic serving tray from the iconic Picknick collection, designed by Marianne Westman for Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand. Introduced in the 1950s, the collection is celebrated for its playful, stylised illustrations of vegetables and everyday kitchen ingredients, capturing the cheerful spirit of Scandinavian mid-century modern design. This generously sized tray features a colourful arrangement of leeks, peas, onions, radishes and delicate botanical motifs in shades of green, turquoise, yellow, blue and deep red. The hand-drawn appearance of the illustrations contrasts beautifully with the glossy white ceramic background. Measuring approximately 43 × 20 cm, it is perfect for serving or as a decorative centrepiece. The underside bears the original Rörstrand Picknick mark, Made in Sweden, with the number 32. In good vintage condition.
