Plate dish Jules Vieillard, 1870

Antique ironstone plate from the famous Bordeaux factory of Jules Vieillard & Cie. Famous "Birds" model (sometimes associated with the naturalistic or Japonisme style), dating from the late 19th century (Napoleon III period 1852-1870) Monochrome blue decoration featuring a nest with birds in the midst of a vegetal environment, surrounded by flying insects. Diameter: 23.5 cm. Condition: generally good, with a prominent patina, an old chip on the side (see photo) The plate is stamped on the underside. Careful and prompt shipping.
