This is the blue series designed by Einar Johansen who worked at Soholm from 1958 to 1966. Søholm Stentøj (meaning stoneware) is one of the most revered names in Danish ceramics. The factory was founded in 1835 on the Baltic island of Bornholm and produced ceramics until the factory closed in 1996. This dish features beautiful decorative reliefs in a glossy glaze of deep blue and dark brown, contrasted by the matte texture of the underside. A beautiful ornamental dish to place as is for decoration but can also be used as a container to enhance a coffee table during an aperitif! Dimensions: ø 18.5 cm X h. 3.5 cm. In very good condition.
