Old tapestry: butcher "pastoral loves"

This tapestry was made after a work by f. Boucher (1703-1770). boucher was superintendent of the manufacture des gobelins from 1755. His cartoons met with immense success. Reflecting a kind and refined era, his work is entirely turned towards love, libertinism and celebrations. Nature is for him a pretext for graceful compositions where shepherds and shepherdesses are mainly concerned with love, flowers and music. This tapestry is delivered lined and ready to be installed.
