White Carrara marble fireplace in Louis XVI style circa 1890

Louis XVI style fireplace in white Carrara marble, dating from 1890. The straight jambs are adorned with a large console or bracket. There is a rose sculpture at each end, and the lintel is recessed in the middle along its entire length. Shelf with its under-shelf. Notable: there is a blemish on the back of the marble shelf, and some yellowing stains on the sides and the shelf (see photos). Dimensions: H 106 X W 136 X D 36 cm. Hearth: H 82 X W 86 X D 24 cm.
