Glazed Stoneware Table Lamp by Desiree Stentøj, Denmark

A table lamp designed and produced by Désirée Stentøj, Denmark 1960s-70s. Glaze features bordeaux, grey and black colors, and a graphic relief. It comes from the series "Thule". Thule is a place in north eastern part of Greenland and the glaze is inspired by "The reddish-brown slopes, icy green waters, saga and Eskimo signs." Hand-decorated stoneware, signed. Item comes with a new lamp shade. Height includes socket. Dimensions without shade (W X D X H): 11 X 7.5 X 18.5 cm. Height with shade: 27 cm. Shade dimensions: H 15, diameter 13/19 cm. Light source: E27 edison screw fitting, 60 watt.
