Quimper earthenware has been produced since 1708 in the historic earthenware district of locmaria, near the city centre of quimper. Its production has developed by benefiting from the clay deposits of the cove of toulven, the presence of two rivers, the odet and the steir and important surrounding forests. The quimper faience centre is the last and oldest of the major french centres still in operation. This tradition has been perpetuated for more than three centuries and in particular the decoration "à la touche", freehand, which has made its reputation. This tableware service is in very good condition, ready to add a retro and refined touch to your table! The whole has some small imperfections that do not detract from its superb.
