Low wooden chair, in the style of Charles Dudouyt's work. This unique piece stands out for its remarkable turning work, alternating generous volumes and sculptural rhythms, characteristic of the rustic and brutalist aesthetic of the post-war period. The backrest, made of turned spindles, enhances its architectural and warm appearance. The seat, low (height 26 cm), is woven with straw in a graphic pattern of natural and red tones, adding relief and character to the whole. Note a slightly detached strand of weaving, with no impact on the strength or comfort of the seat. Likely designed as a fireside chair or occasional seating, it will naturally find its place in a characterful interior, country house, chalet, or contrasting contemporary decor. Very good overall condition, with a uniform patina of the wood and a well-preserved seat. Anonymous work, 20th century, in the spirit of Charles Dudouyt. Careful shipping.
