Vintage cantilever armchair in black leather & chrome – 1970s/80s

Vintage cantilever armchair, presumably dating from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Structure made of chrome-plated steel tubing, with a wide curved seat and backrest in black leather, featuring the characteristic cantilever base of modernist furniture from this period. Its design notably recalls the Italian productions of Arrben and their Canasta model, although there is no marking to confirm attribution. A beautifully crafted piece, heavy and stable, with thick leather and meticulous finishes. The armchair is in very good vintage condition: supple and well-preserved leather, intact stitching, and shiny chrome. Some discreet signs of use and a slight patina are visible, consistent with its age. A beautiful piece that is equally comfortable as an office chair or as an extra seat around a table or in a living room.
