Aslak ashtray and pocket tray by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala (1968)

Iconic modernist Scandinavian design by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala (Finland, c. 1968). Model Aslak, "ice glass" technique, heavy textured glass resembling organic ice (14 cm long, 4 cm high, 901 g). Overall good condition with strong original density. It should be noted that with complete transparency, there are two tiny micro "chips-defects" on the rim which, completely blended into the roughness and frosted relief of the glass, are strictly invisible to the naked eye and can only be slightly felt by touch. The price reflects this.
