Superb vintage Italian brass umbrella stand with particularly elaborate sculptural decoration, inspired by the Art Nouveau style. Its upper part consists of a set of rings formed by intertwined snakes, designed to hold umbrellas and canes. At both ends, two small figures of putti, with arms raised, add an original and charming touch to the composition. The central column, adorned with plant motifs and scrolls, is topped with an elegant openwork handle featuring floral decoration, enhanced by a small dragonfly. The oval base, richly worked in relief, displays a decoration of vine leaves, grape clusters, and scrolls. It is surrounded by metal scrolls that harmoniously extend the lines of the whole. The metal showcases beautiful shades of gold and dark brown, with some traces of greenish patina in the crevices of the decoration, highlighting the details of the work. The entire piece rests on four feet fitted with black pads to protect the floor.
