Pair of 1036 table lamps by Guy Bertrand, Disderot circa 1969

Pair of table lamps designed by Guy Bertrand in the late 1960s. Cubic in shape, each lamp is composed of a folded aluminum sheet forming a graphic and rigorous volume, housing a Plexiglas reflector diffusing a soft and even light. The ensemble plays on the contrast between the coldness of the metal and the translucency of the plastic, typical of French design of the period. Manufacturer: Disderot, circa 1969.
