Ouragan history: despite the official abolition of slavery by the treaty of vienna of 1815, the slave trade continued until the mid-19th century in the french colonies. "the hurricane" was one of those ships which, thanks to the finesse of its line and its hull lined with blinks, knew how to combine speed and maneuverability and became one of the fastest carriers of slaves of the early nineteenth century.
