Antique Metal Turkish Water Pitcher, Ottoman Empire, Very Old Jug, 1880s

An antique metal jug from the Ottoman era in Turkey. The Ottomans ruled from the year 1299 to 1922. This pitcher is from the second half of the 19th century, somewhere around 1880. It was probably made out of hammered copper, but the copper is pretty weathered after so much time, and now has a more grey tone. Although the brown copper tones are still shining through on some spots. NOTE: there are some aqua blue spots on the pitcher (see photos). I have not been able to find out if this is some spilled paint or if this is actually part of the weathered patina. I have tried to remove it, but had no success. Diameter: 24.5 cm / 9.64 inch. Height: 53 cm / 20.47 inch. Weight: 2020 gram / 71.25 ounce. Creator unknown.
