Model chair "dsx" by charles & ray eames and alexander girard edited by herman miller in the 1960s (1959 to 1972 more exactly). The orange chevron coating comes from alexander girard. He was not only known as an incredible architect and visionary fabric and textile designer, but also as an interior designer and much more. His design skills were wide-ranging, as were many of his peers of the time, including charles eames. This versatility is partly explained by the evolution of the time, the post-war period having allowed designers to express themselves and invest in multiple disciplines. Condition: the base is chrome plated and the seat shell is made of polyester resin and fiberglass. The shell has some normal scratches due to its age but no major defects. The base is impeccable and has the original skates. The foam is also in very good condition. The chairs are signed herman miller and mobilier international under the hull. History: designed by charles & ray eames in the 50s, the particular lines and innovative material of these chairs have marked the history of design. In this orange herringbone version, these chairs have not aged a bit... Comfort, remarkable design and pop color, the eames dsx chair by herman miller is a safe bet.
