Pair of marquetry bedside tables, Louis XV style – 1960

These two Louis XV style bedside tables feature sinuous lines and cabriole legs, lending them great elegance. They are veneered in rosewood and adorned with floral marquetry in stained wood on the front and sides. Each table has two superimposed drawers with ornate gilt-bronze handles that accentuate the refined character of the pieces. Gilt-bronze foliate mounts also embellish the uprights and legs, providing a rich and meticulous finish. Each table is topped with a pink Pyrenees marble slab with a scalloped edge and a corbel-shaped edge.
