Set of 4 "Tomasa" chairs – Simon Gavina, First series, Italy, early 1980s. Rare set of four Tomasa chairs, one of the most elegant and ingenious interpretations of Italian design by Simon Gavina. Designed as a tribute to Paolo Uccello's exploration of perspective and geometry, the Tomasa chair combines formal rigor, quality craftsmanship, and functionality, creating an object that is both furniture and a cultural work. These chairs come from the first production series of Simon Gavina and were originally purchased from the Gavina store in Bologna. The structure is made of waxed solid oak, with profiled slats that define the seat and backrest, giving a sense of visual lightness. The refined brass inserts and threaded ends form the articulation system that allows the chair to fold, making it foldable without compromising its elegance and sturdiness. The chairs have been professionally restored, with the utmost respect for the original materials and finishes. They are currently in excellent condition. Model: Tomasa. Manufacturer: Simon Gavina.
