Figurative painter of landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and seascapes. A versatile artist, he was also a sculptor and ceramist. He studied at the saint-jean de molenbeek and saint-lycas de schaerbeek academies, and at the brussels academy. Lecturer at the saint-gilles academy from 1932 to 1968.
