Vintage pitcher with floral decoration in the style of Poterie du Marais

A piece of pottery that evokes the charm of holidays in the Charente region: this pretty, rounded pitcher in crackled earthenware is adorned with large, stylized, hand-painted flowers. In a naive and cheerful style, it captures the very essence of the pottery from the marshlands of Pons: a joyful and popular artisanal production, very fashionable in the 1960s and 80s. A beautiful white earthenware with a slightly crackled glaze and hand-painted floral decoration. Ideal as a rustic vase or simply placed on a summer table. Attributed to the marshland pottery – unsigned. Good overall vintage condition, with some natural signs of age. A molding defect on the foot (very slight dent) and a tiny chip on the base.
