These storage pots were originally designed by ettore sottsass (1917 - 2007) in 1994. Glass jar with hermetic lid beech wood. The pots are like new and have never been used. Comes with original packaging and documents. Capacity and dimensions: 2 X 100 cl - ø 12 cm - height 20.5 cm. 1x cl 75 - ø 12 cm - height 17 cm. The pots are colorful and evocative of the style of sottsass, they are expressive presences that transform every domestic space. Designed with cylindrical glass container and beech wood lid to ensure hermetic closure. An emblematic article of twergi, since sottsass can be considered the main creator of alessi twergi products in the 80s and 90s. After acquiring one of the oldest timber craft companies in the strona valley (battista piazza 1865) in 1988, alessi launched a new brand called ''twergi'' in 1989. Twergi means dwarf in the local dialect of piedmont. It refers to a local dwarf who lives in the woods. For the first time, alessi manufactured products made of wood. The decision to use materials other than steel proved crucial to the company's growth. Alessi twergi therefore symbolizes not only tradition and quality of design, but also a beautiful spirit of enterprise and vision. These jars are part of the alessi 100 values collection, it is a special initiative that celebrates the values that define the identity and practice of the centenary "dream factory". A collection of amazing objects, from the archives of the alessi museum: objects never produced until now, unpublished versions, icons in the making.
