Fruit Barbotine Teapot

History: "barbotine" refers to decorative ceramic objects, often decorated with raised patterns (floral, plant, or animal) and covered with shiny (and slightly kitsch) colored glazes. Very popular in the 19th century, they reflect rustic or art nouveau styles. Description: antique barbotine teapot with grape decoration, in very good condition, no cracks or chips. The colors have remained very bright.
