Médicis vases in cast iron

Rare and imposing pair of Médicis style vases in cast iron from the Hochard house in Paris, cast by the Capitain-Gény foundry in Bussy Vecqueville around 1880, now Ferry Capitain in Haute-Marne. The Capitain-Gény foundry was awarded at the 1889 World Exposition in Paris. It is also known for casting the riverside blacksmiths and the nautes of the Bir-Hakeim bridge in Paris.
