Inspired by the Netherlands, hella Jongerius' native country, the name Polder Sofa refers to a characteristic feature of the Dutch landscape: a polder refers to an expanse of land gained from the sea. Hella Jongerius' Polder Sofa attracts attention, no matter where it is: Its asymmetrical shape and the design of its seat and back cushions in different fabrics and colours make it an iconic model with a strong character. Frame/carrier structure: wooden frame. Seat cushions: polyurethane foam with interactive core of stained springs, honeycomb cushions (filled with foam cubes and feathers) and non-woven polyester. Back cushions: polyurethane foam with non-woven polyester and honeycomb cushions (filled with foam cubes and feathers). Armrest cushion: removable, free positioning, with sand counterweight, polyurethane foam trim. Coating: perfectly harmonized combinations of different colours and types of fabrics, removable.
