A refinement from another era with these three flat ironstone plates signed Utzschneider & Cie – Sarreguemines (U&C Sarreguemines). They feature a sumptuous deep blue decoration with oriental accents, subtly enhanced with gold trim. The pattern, known on the German market as "Persian Moss", is distinguished by its graphic richness and fine printing, typical of the years 1885–1895. Stamped REDOWA U&C Sarregumeines (with an unusual stamp that echoes the colors and pattern of the plate), a rare name in the U&C series: these pieces come from a time when Sarreguemines was administratively German (1871–1918) while retaining a typically French decorative know-how. A cross-border production full of character, which appeals to collectors as well as lovers of precious tableware for decorative use. To place on a festive table, to divert into a wall plate or to collect preciously. Each plate tells a page of history, between orientalist chic and 19th century elegance. Diameter 18.5 cm Very good general condition, some light marks of time consistent with age - gilding still very present although quite faded on the edges, one plate also has a slightly faded pattern (see last photo and close-up). A rare model difficult to find, especially under the "REDOWA" stamp, very little documented. A great opportunity to hunt!.
