Egg chair, Arne Jacobsen original edition F. Hansen 1960

In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg for the lobby and reception areas of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. This organically shaped chair has since become synonymous with Danish furniture design worldwide. Thanks to its unique shape, the Egg provides a bit of privacy in otherwise public spaces, and the Egg – with or without an ottoman – is ideal for lounges and waiting areas as well as for the home.
