Spectacular and rare Oriental rug measuring 300 X 200 cm (6 m²), a masterpiece crafted by a leading art workshop in Agra (Indo-Isfahan style). This rug features an astonishing weaving finesse of one million knots per square metre (10x10 knots per cm²), offering a design of sharpness and surgical precision. The decoration faithfully reproduces the most prestigious Persian motifs from Isfahan: a central midnight blue field depicting a flowering "Tree of Life" (symbol of eternity), framed by red borders adorned with calligraphic cartouches of Persian poetry and large boteh palms. Quality of materials: Unlike Iranian pieces, this rug has been woven with high-quality wool selected for its incomparably soft texture and very silky sheen to the touch. The pile beautifully captures light and offers exceptional comfort underfoot. Condition: Very good condition. The pile is dense, even, and the colours are vibrant. The fringes and edges are impeccable. The rug is healthy and clean. A masterful textile piece, ideal for bringing the nobility and refinement of palace decor to a characterful interior.
