Superb suite of chairs of so-called "tonne" shape in line with the models created by pierre guariche for steiner in 1954 or oswald haerdtl for thonet wien in 1955, and which is known mainly in france thanks to the popular variants "mondor" and "elan" by baumann launched in 1964 and 1965. Here also a french production on a more confidential scale under the "self" brand of the leduc-ferchaud establishment society founded in fontenay-le-comte in 1945 (now "self creations"). This suite also dates from the 60s as evidenced by the model of the blue coat of arms "nf" (french standard) still present under the seats. Very good quality of execution, both in terms of design, structure and the original upholstery in thick caramel/praline leather. Wenge-dyed compass feet, slightly concave seat, moulded plywood back that fit perfectly fits the back. The whole thing impeccable - front and back - just a disjointed on 2 cm at the piping of one of the seats. The original slide skates are still present --- height 86 cm. Seated 43 X 41 cm. Seat height 47 cm. It should be noted that the size of this model is particularly generous with a height of back and especially of higher seating than the others (a "mondor" for example 80 cm for 45 cm of seat height with skates); so more suited to the height of a dining table, and much more comfortable, garnished what's more. --- delivery ensured all france, professional service with invoice.
