A very large unique vintage handmade wool rug from the 1960s in different shades of pink stripes and occasional geometric patterns. I travel all over algeria to source unique rugs. This specific rug is from the rebelious kabylie mountains where locals still speak the berber amazigh language. This natural wool rug features stripes on a colourful palette, which becomes an instant eye catcher and a must have for every interior décor enthusiast. The tradition is that all young girls should have dowry for when it’s time to get married. The wool yarns came from the ethically grown livestock of locals who dyed and treated with traditional organic methods hence the high finishing quality.
