Large Art Deco chest of drawers in mahogany and ash (renovated)

This Art Deco chest of drawers from the 1920s-1930s stands out for its understated lines and stylised inlay decoration. Its proportions and slender legs give it a particularly light silhouette. Materials: the chest is made of solid ash and mahogany veneer. Features: this Art Deco chest opens with four drawers: two small drawers at the top and two large drawers, offering ample storage capacity. The drawer fronts are adorned with a design of curved inlays, characteristic of the decorative vocabulary of the 1920s-1930s, and are fitted with patinated metal ring handles. The chest rests on four tapered legs, with the two front legs highlighted by fine mouldings. Renovation: the chest has been completely sanded on the outside. Its veneer has been re-glued on all the drawers. Finally, the chest has been carefully washed and then protected with a matte varnish. Condition: the chest is stable on its feet and robust. The drawers slide perfectly. Note a small veneer loss on one of the large drawers (visible in the photo). Dimensions: L121 x D58.5 x H82. Upper drawers: L53 x H10.5. Lower drawers: L110 x H21.
