Superb pair of large vintage lamps made of turned and varnished wood, model Verdennes, attributed to the French house Le Dauphin, probably dating from the 1970s. Their elegant baluster-shaped bases charm with their generous proportions, beautiful amber hue, and delicate black fillets highlighting the mouldings. The square stepped bases add an architectural touch to their neoclassical-inspired silhouette. The two lamps are perfectly identical and have retained their labels as well as their large original beige shades with dark borders. With a total height of 91 cm, they offer a remarkable decorative presence. They would ideally find their place on two consoles, on either side of a sofa, or in an interior combining antique and contemporary furniture. Dimensions: Total height with shade: 91 cm. Height of the base without shade: 61.5 cm. Base dimensions: 16 × 16 cm. Condition: The turned wooden bases are in beautiful vintage condition, with their original finish and a few discreet signs of use. Mainly 2 small defects, both on the same lamp base, namely a slight black mark on the base and a small veneer chip (the photos show these 2 points). The original shades show signs of age and some imperfections, visible in the photographs but remain in a correct condition, without tears or creases. Both lamps are fully functional. A beautiful decorative pair, with timeless lines and particularly generous proportions. Sold only as a pair.
