Double drop-leaf commode. Chippendale, Mahogany. Based on a model by John Townsend, cabinetmaker in Newport in the 18th century. Work from the early to mid-20th century. In cherry wood. Opening with 4 drawers. Decorated with carved shells. Height: 87.5cm. Width: 113cm. Depth: 54.5cm. Very good overall condition, scratches on the top, one pull handle missing (bottom right).
