German vintage leather cantilever chairs S33 by Mart Stam for Thonet, set of 8

The Thonet S33 is a classic Bauhaus piece made of tubular steel, designed by Mart Stam. A simple and timeless Bauhaus design, originating from the 1920s. Thanks to this design, the chairs are very comfortable and rock wonderfully. Here is the classic Thonet version in natural leather. The materiality is convincing: the quality and thickness of the leather, the double stitching, and the characteristic tension of the fabric from Thonet. Added to this are the two tension brackets underneath for re-tensioning. What particularly catches the eye is the rich patina of the natural leather that these pieces have gained over the decades, making these chairs unique. The chairs are embossed with Thonet underneath.
