Entrance hall wardrobe with mirror in walnut – 19th century. Imposing antique entrance hall wardrobe made of walnut wood, featuring richly crafted architecture and beautiful quality cabinetry. The upper part is organised around a large bevelled mirror, framed by moulded and sculpted columns. The whole is equipped with numerous hooks and turned and curved wooden pegs, distributed along the cornice and on either side of the mirror, allowing for the hanging of coats, hats, and accessories. The middle section includes a turned wooden umbrella or cane stand, while the base features a compartmentalised zinc tray designed to collect water from umbrellas. The lower façade is particularly decorative with its large panel of geometric relief mouldings, flanked by fluted pilasters. Sculpted floral motifs complete the ornamentation. The whole rests on a wide moulded plinth finished with turned feet. A spectacular entrance piece, both decorative and functional, ideal for a large entrance, an old residence, a private hotel, or a characterful house. Period: late 19th century. Material: walnut. Mirror: antique bevelled glass. Dimensions: H. 202 cm × W. 105 cm × D. 28 cm. Condition: good overall condition with signs of use and age. The mirror shows visible pitting and alterations, characteristic of antique glass and contributing to the charm of the whole.
