Abstract painting

Very beautiful oil on paper by the painter jacques burel (1922 - 2000), dated 1986. A drawing teacher from algiers to paris, jacques burel devoted the first part of his work to figurative transcription, particularly of the rural environment. From the 1970s, his painting became more and more abstract, he exhibited regularly at the salon des réalités nouvelles in the 1980s. The composition here is harmoniously composed in light tones, the primary ones in pastel tones on a white background and a few darker lines. A geometry cleverly constructed by the juxtaposition of sensitive and subtle touches. The whole is framed under glass and a pink wooden frame. It measures with the frame: height: 62 cm, width: 59 cm without the frame, on sight: height: 37 cm, width: 34 cm.
