Kerosene lamp /vintage lamp /oil lamp. Old wick kerosene lamp with an amber glass tank, a metal shower stand and a copper wick holder. The lamp has a working wick rise and fall setting, which allows the flame intensity to be adjusted. The glass tube is made in france and is signed vr. Kerosene wick lamps were commonly used before the advent of electricity for lighting homes, streets and boats. The glass tank was used to store oil, while the wick was immersed in liquid and lit to produce a flame. The height of the wick was adjusted to adjust the intensity of the flame. The french manufacture of the lamp, as well as its ancient design, could give it value to collectors of antique objects and historical lamps. Height 52 cm. Diameter 13.5 cm. Weight 1 kg.
