Superb Mid-Century carafe vase made by Heyne Keramik in the family workshop in West Germany in the 1960s. This expressive piece is covered in an intense Fat Lava glaze of ultramarine Klein blue, beautifully contrasting with the characteristic dark brown-red clay of Heyne, visible at the base. The thick, volcanic texture of the glaze, combined with the sculptural shape and pronounced handle, makes it an excellent example of post-war German ceramics. The manufacturer's marks are present under the base, confirming its authenticity. It can be used as a vase-pitcher, handled vase, or simply as a decorative sculptural object. ✣ Dimensions: Height: 21 cm. Diameter: 13 cm. Top opening: 2 cm. ✨ Condition: Very good vintage condition with some signs of age-related use, including slight surface scratches. No chips or cracks.
