DSW chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller 50/60

Eames DSW chair made by Herman Miller dating from the late 1950s/early 1960s. Recent base. In an original ochre-coloured fiberglass shell, mounted on shock absorbers with a walnut base. Original Herman Miller stamps on hull. We overwhelmingly prefer the original fiberglass shells to the modern polypropylene versions, because the patina is so beautiful and they are doing so well - a very important consideration with a house full of children! Overall in very good condition with just a few very small scratches and marks here and there in relation to their age but nothing noticeable. (please see the pictures). A beautiful chair - a total classic, very collectable that would brighten up any room. The seat and base will be dismantled for a safer shipment, but can be purchased fully assembled if you wish - please send a message. From time to time, due to the demand for these sets, which are hard to find, there may be a delay of a few days while we replenish on the bases. This is a generic list, so the chair you receive may be different from the one in the photos but all the shells we sell are in the same state, with no major marks or cracks and the bases are in a new state.
