Antique art deco french leather and kilim club armchair

This is a handsome antique leather armchair which dates to the 1930s. It originates from france and is an evocative piece from the art deco era. The chair is a classically styled club chair with a deeply cushioned seat, gently scrolled arms and comfortable curved back. It is heavy, solid and well made with a sprung base and a deep feather filled removable seat cushion, the arms are filled with the original horse hair and the leather is original and well aged. The chair is set on turned mahogany feet which are finished with brass and ceramic castors. The chair is is in well aged condition, it has been renovated in our workshop, the seat cushion and back have been recently professionally reupholstered in new kilim fabric. The chair is very comfortable and is perfect for reading and relaxing. Condition. The chair is in good structural condition. The leather is very well aged, the left arm very worn and rustic looking.
